chicago newborn photography: sweet family moments with their first-born baby
This past week, I had the honor of photographing a wonderful family, celebrating their baby boy’s homecoming. Despite his initial challenges, he was finally able to come home from the NICU. His parents were so excited to capture these images!
Meet Baby Ian! This sleepy and easy-going baby preferred to be swaddled for his photos. Our newborn photography session took place in our cozy Arlington Heights studio, located in the outskirts of Chicago. The family opted for a neutral color palette, choosing soft and classic tones that complemented the baby’s delicate features. The mom borrowed a dress from my client closet. she chose this beautiful blue floral kimono! The session lasted approximately three hours, allowing ample time for the baby to feed, rest, and be changed as needed. Towards the end of the session, we ventured outside to make use of the beautiful sunny day, incorporating the surrounding greenery into the photographs. Did I mention that my Chicago newborn photography studio is surrounded by greenery only a few steps away?
